This workshop will introduce participants to terminology, after which we will cover data and research related to parents who are LGBTQ and their experiences in schools. Then, through open discussion and scenarios, participants will engage in exercises to better understand the lived experiences of parents who are LGBTQ. The exercises are meant to be taken back to participants' agencies, schools, centers, and university courses to be used as staff development AND so that providers can make immediate changes to their programs.

This workshop is being held in collaboration with STARNET Region V.
