Core vocabulary is the flexible, effective way to provide functional communication for young, minimally verbal students. Using a simple paper “no-tech” board, participants will learn the wide range of communicative intentions one can express using core vocabulary; and how to implement this approach in their early childhood setting. Due to its accommodating nature, core vocabulary intervention almost seamlessly embeds into rich early childhood curriculums. Participants will learn how to “core out” their classrooms and instructional practices to provide robust communication for all students.

This workshop is being held in collaboration with Barrington CUSD 220.
