This workshop will focus on integrating speech-language therapy and support into Early Childhood programs including blended classrooms and early childhood special education self-contained classrooms. The workshop is targeted towards Speech/Language Pathologists, classroom teachers, and other related service personnel (e.g., OT, PT, social workers) who are interested in learning more about ways to implement therapy into the classroom using an integrated, push-in approach. Knowledge of the Creative Curriculum and/or Project Approach is helpful but not required to attend. Topics will include data management, meeting IEP goals, MTSS intervention strategies and time management. Ideas for successful collaboration with the classroom team, therapy ideas for larger group and small group instruction, and opportunities and ideas to insure that therapeutic interventions are carried out by the classroom teams will also be shared.
