Integrating speech/language therapy services in the Early Childhood classroom is considered best practice for ALL students (continuum of blended to self-contained special education placements). This workshop was created for Speech/Language Pathologists, teachers, and related staff personnel to provide a successful integrated push-in therapy model. Participants will receive ideas and strategies to manage data, meet IEP goals, and implement MTSS intervention strategies. Tips for time management and therapy ideas for large and small group instruction will be discussed. In addition, strategies for successful collaboration and delivery of therapeutic interventions by the classroom team, will be shared.

Learner objectives

--Examine strategies and supports to integrate therapy services into the daily classroom routines of the preschool classroom.
--Create a plan to manage data regarding IEP goals, service delivery minutes and inservice teaching staff on embedding therapeutic interventions throughout the day.
--Develop team planning tools to support curriculum and the meeting of IEP goals in the preschool classroom.
--Discuss MTSS intervention strategies and collaboration with preschool classroom teams.
