This is an interactive workshop designed to expand the preschool teacher’s interest and focus on physical science activities and common simple machines for the classroom.  Participants will explore common tools, science activities and simple machines. We will discover the ‘mechanical advantage’ of simple machines we use every day.  Teachers will also plan how to expand or accommodate ‘discovery’ activities to meet the needs of all children and embed math and literacy concepts in science activities, which is consistent with early childhood best practices.  Come have fun as a ‘child’ with discovery and reflect as a ‘teacher’ on how to bring physical science to your classroom that will stimulate curiosity in children!
