At this workshop we will explore the most current research related to young multilingual learners as it relates to early literacy instruction. Attendees will learn the importance of oral language proficiency as a vital element of early literacy skills. Blending and braiding of early childhood content and embedding literacy throughout the routines of the day will be explored. You will leave with resources to better incorporate your students' home languages into instruction.
