Reading emotions when others are wearing masks is difficult as there is less visual information for young children to attend to. Focused instruction on the shape of the eyes and eyebrows can provide clues to feelings and emotions being expressed. This interactive workshop focuses on utilizing stories to plan and implement lessons on teaching emotions. Teachers will collaborate and intentionally prepare a lesson on teaching emotions based on a story. Be prepared to share your knowledge, strategies and creativity to teach emotional literacy to all young children.
