This webinar is designed to assist teachers with establishing an engaging, active learning science/nature interest area in the classroom that will spark children’s curiosity.  We will examine how to set up the environment to capture and sustain children’s interest using developmentally appropriate materials and equipment. A teaching process to engage children in activities and expand their explorations over time with documentation will be discussed.  Examples of preschool activities and science books in the areas of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Earth and the Environment will be shared.  This webinar supports ECERS-3 requirements, Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards and appropriate science/nature explorations that encourage discovery all around us!
