In this workshop participants will learn why Anti-racist/Anti-Bias (ABAR) work with young children is so crucial for early childhood educators to understand and implement. Participants will reflect on their own relationship to and understanding of systemic oppression, power and privilege. The workshop will invite dialogue about the developmental awareness of difference, include examples of young children’s voices, and offer practical strategies and resources for moving from “color-blindness” to “color-consciousness” whether teachers are working in virtual or onsite classrooms.
