  • Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services

    The CLAS Institute identifies, collects, reviews, catalogs, abstracts, and describes materials and practices developed for children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and professionals who work with them. CLAS has created a resource bank and catalog of validated, culturally and linguistically appropriate materials, and of documented effective strategies, for early intervention and preschool services.   • Family Resource Center on Disabilities

    One of two Illinois Parent Training and Information (PTI) Centers providing training about IDEA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to parents. FRDC serves the counties of Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties in northern Illinois. They provide information, trainings and resources in English and Spanish.

  • Illinois Early Learning Project

    This project of the Illinois State Board of education and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign offer many resources for parents and professionals. The Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards for Preschool and the Illinois’ Birth to Three Learning Guidelines are also available on the IELP website. IELP Tips Sheets are easy-to-read, one-page tip sheets of activities, and strategies to support the development of young children in all areas, available in several languages.
