This workshop will provide participants with an overview of sensory processing difficulties that some young children experience. Throughout the presentation, practical strategies for helping these children participate in self-care, play, and schoolwork will be offered. Family members of children birth through school age who have sensory processing concerns will benefit from attending this presentation. Priority registration will be given to family members of children with special needs; professionals are encouraged to register and will be enrolled as space permits.

This workshop is being held in collaboration with the Lombard School District 44.

  • Recognize symptoms of sensory processing difficulties
  • Describe strategies which may be helpful in supporting play and learning for young children with sensory processing difficulties
