Having positive adult relationships within the classroom is imperative in creating a welcoming environment for students but how does one arrange this? Figuring out how to maneuver adult relationships within the classroom can be difficult, tough conversations may need to be had and responsibilities need to be dispersed. Join us in exploring best practices for teacher and instructional assistant collaboration. Participants will hear from a principal, an experienced teacher, a novice teacher, and a seasoned instructional assistant on what a strong, collaborative relationship within the classroom looks like and how to build that. The presenters will discuss why their program made the important decision to include their instructional assistants in professional development opportunities, such as trainings on Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD, ECERS-3 and how this has improved classroom experiences.
